Motorcycle Trip STURGIS !!!! August 7, 2020

A playlist of all of the videos from the ride from August 4 thru August 13th.

Arrived in STURGIS !!!! Got gas outside of town and the SCOTS arrived :-):

Went into town to see what Sturgis is all about. Bikes parked everywhere, down the sides of the street and in the middle of the street:

Four minutes of riding into Sturgis on the bikes and walking around Sturgis for about 4 minutes. The streets really weren't that crowded, some people had masks, nothing was said to me about wearing a mask. All the vendors had masks on. Lunch was in a restaurant that was open air. Hand sanitizers on the lamp posts. I have found that bikers are very polite. Never had a negative experience whenever I have run into another motorcyclist. In the restaurant we ate was a recruitment poster for General Custers 7th cavalry, The Garry Owen is the Regimental March. Close by Sturgis is Custer's Last Stand:

Picked up my obligatory Tee Shirt, Hoodie and Pin for the event, ate lunch and later went to Mt Rushmore:

Ryan, Cody and I rode up to Lake Pactola / Pactola Reservoir, SD. A little bit more of dirt road (not NEARLY as rough as on August 5th) then back on the highway. As you can see from the video there were as many bikers enjoying riding the Black Hills of South Dakota as there were in Sturgis. Sturgis is, after all, a MOTORCYCLE Rally and people ride thier bikes and enjoy the Black Hills around Sturgis. We got off the bikes to look at Lake Pactola:

Ryan and Cody at the lake:

From there we rode towards Mt Rushmore and stopped for gas. Yet even more motorcycles:

We rode up from the Phillips 66 on Highway 386 to Mount Rushmore. Arriving at Mt Rushmore to see the presidents carved into the side of a mountain:

Finally home right as the rain / weather front decided to come pay a visit
