March 16th 1996, Texas Spacelines Inc. launched the first Nemesis I rocket into the skies of West Texas. It impacted on the third planet from the Sun. The inhabitants thereof gathered around it and laughed heartily at the puny engineering efforts of the humans, then carried the rocket back to their vehicle. The Texas Spacelines launch crew borrowed a tradition of the ancient Greeks by building a victory cairn, then they returned to San Antonio.....The rocket was going great guns when the hillside got in the way. Total length of the flight was 100 feet, which is actually good for a thing that was never intended to fly. Better steering is next - a small engine test of a liquid injection TVC system is upcoming.
