Motorcycle ride along the Columbia River starting at Biggs Junction on the Washington Oregon border and ending up at Wilbur, WA. 2022-04-23

A playlist of all of the videos from the ride of 2022-04-22 to 2022-04-23 and 2022-09-05 to 2022-09-10.

The Invisibilia podcast discussed Norwegian 'Slow TV'. I decided to make this entire trip all Slow TV videos. This video is the ride for the entire day.

The next part of the Columbia river was across semi-arid desert and farmland. Wide open spaces and lonely roads. This was a spring ride so more greenery than usual, yet ...

I left early in the morning headed east, stopped at Sand Point Park, nice overlook on the Columbia River with the normal eastern Washington landscape:

And a picture of the landscape even in spring. I like these somewhat sparse landscapes in their own ways as much and the mountains and forests:

I enjoy stopping at the Vantage Rest Area Columbia River viewpoint that is near the sculpture 'Grandfather Cuts Loose the Ponies' (look for Wild Horse monument road, the circle road also labeled Vantage Rest Area):

I also took this same picture on August 10, you can see the differences in the greenery:

I stopped for lunch / gas at Pateros WA, nearby the gas station at the waterfront there is a monument to the First People Methow tribe with interpretive signs:

Another shot of the Columbia River near the Methow installation on the dock:

Long story for this day. But it ended finally.
