Motorcycle ride along the Columbiam to Hot Springs Canada 2022-09-07

The Invisibilia podcast discussed Norwegian 'Slow TV'. I decided to make this entire trip all Slow TV videos. This video is the ride for the entire day.

I left early in the morning headed north along Highway 23. I wanted to go a little further north to follow the river, but there isn't a road that would follow Columbia completely.I stopped about 45 miles down the road. On the map it looked like a park but it appeared to be someone's back yard. Amazing view to have:

Going back I took the Trans Canada Highway east to pick up the Columbia again. On a day of sunshine that is a dangerous highway to ride. SOOOO amazingly beautiful it is hard to keep your eye on the road, puffy clouds and mountain ranges towering above your head. You can KIND of see what I am talking about when I stopped at the Redgrave Rest Area and took a picture:

A little further down I turned onto Highway 95 on my way to Radium Hot Springs. The mountain ranges continued, so I stopped for a picture, this one with the bike :-):

And another set of the ranges to the east:

At Radium Springs I walked over the a bluff above the Columbia River to see how small it was. This valley probably floods during the spring rains, but here the mighty Columbia is not nearly as large:

Arrived at my hotel in Radium Hot Springs and settled in for the night.
