Motorcycle Trip Down Hwy 101 to the Redwood Forests, CA and back Home 2021-10-02 to 2021-10-08

A map of the Route we took down Highway 101 (a classic road) to the Redwood Forests and back home. Total distance was about 1,200 miles. Very little altitude gain as you are near the Sea for most of the ride. Every couple of days on the road and a day off to sightsee / ride the local roads seems to be a good cadence. The trip took seven days. The weather was somewhat a mixed bag but better than can be expected for October as the rains usually start up early October. Bu just plan and go. Look at the weather maps, gear up and go ride. The quote I liked was 'You will probably be on eitehr side of comfortable'.

MOST of it is 2 lane roads, You are always coming around a bend on mountains or around a corner and there is the sea and beach. You are on the northern end of Highway 101, the west coast highway, considered one of the better scenic riding highways. Enjoy the coastline. Keep on riding and you will end up in Los Angeles :-) ...
